Preparation of Surface

Before applying Heat Shield Pro, ensure that the surface is clean, dry, and free from any dust, dirt, grease, oil, or other contaminants. If the surface has cracks or holes, they must be repaired prior to application. The surface should also be free of any moisture to avoid bonding issues. For smooth surfaces, it’s advisable to lightly roughen the surface to ensure better adhesion of the product. Proper preparation ensures a secure and lasting bond between the product and the surface.

Preparation of Product

To prepare Heat Shield Pro, stir the product thoroughly to achieve a uniform consistency. The product should not be diluted with water. Ensure that no lumps are present and that the product is mixed to the right consistency before application. The mixture should be used immediately after preparation to ensure optimal performance and avoid wastage.

Application

Apply Heat Shield Pro evenly using a brush, roller, or airless spray. The product should be applied in thin, even coats, with a recommended thickness of 1-2mm per coat. It is typically applied in 2-3 layers for optimal thermal insulation performance. Allow each coat to dry for 2-3 hours before applying the next one. For best results, ensure that each coat is not too thick, as excessive thickness can affect the product’s ability to cure properly. The application should be done in a well-ventilated area for safety and efficiency.
